BRAIN STATES AND TRANSITIONS LAB

Welcome to Joon-Young Moon’s Lab at the Department of Data Science in Hanyang University. I am a computational cognitive neuroscientist researching brain dynamics, aiming to understand how brain states are characterized and how our brain transitions from one state to another, with respect to diverse internal/external stimuli.

Our lab performs human subject cognitive experiments and utilizes data from EEG (electroencephalography), EcoG (electrocorticography), simultaneous EEG-fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging). Our experiments are  integrated with mathematical and computational models, in pursuit of scientific truth about brain dynamics.
