BRAIN STATES AND TRANSITIONS LAB

Welcome to Joon-Young Moon’s Lab at the Center for Neuroscience Imaging Research in Institute for Basic Science & Sungkyunkwan University. I am a computational cognitive neuroscientist studying brain dynamics, aiming to understand how brain states are characterized and how brain transitions from one state to another.

Our lab performs human subject cognitive experiments and utilizes data from EEG (electroencephalography), EcoG (electrocorticography), simultaneous EEG-fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging). Our experiments are  integrated with mathematical and computational models, in pursuit of scientific truth about brain dynamics.
